Goma & Beni, DR Congo
Congolese NGO founded in 2017 and legal guardian of the children in our care. WHG runs both centers day to day, employs the field team and reports to us monthly. Co-lead of the Education Cluster for Greater North Kivu since 2023.

Beni & North Kivu
The state child-protection authority. DIVAS refers separated children, co-leads family tracing and reunification, and signed a five-year collaboration protocol with us in September 2026.
North Kivu
UNICEF-funded partner organizations refer children to both centers, including through a 2026 placement agreement for emergency transitional care in Beni.
Goma
The mayor's office and child-protection case managers refer the city's highest-risk children to the Goma center.
Funders & institutional partners
Madrid, Spain
Annual funder since 2022. Gomaespuma has paid for school fees and supplies, the school van and water filters for the centers and surrounding communities.
Seattle, USA
In 2026, students in this University of Washington course chose Fesser and Friends for a $30,000 grant, provided by the Philanthropy Lab, after a financial due-diligence review. It funded the land for the permanent Beni campus.

Fesser and Friends holds Candid's Platinum Seal of Transparency for 2026, the highest level available.
Community fundraising
Seattle & beyond
Our own music-event series. Its first event, a Seattle boat party, raised $28,000 for the centers.
Partner with us
We welcome institutional grants, corporate matching, in-kind support (medical, education and water), pro-bono expertise, and student fundraising chapters. We share full proposals, budgets and reports with prospective funders.
